Omega-3 essential fatty acids


Omega-3 essential fatty acids are good for circulation and heart funtion. It cuts the risk of heart attack, lowers blood fats and thins the blood. It also plays a vital role in calcium absorption and metabolism in the body, and helps to maintain healthy joints. Omega-3 is found in oily fish: mostly fish with darker flesh such as mackerel, herring, salmon, sardines and fresh tuna. Green leafy vegetables, walnuts, soyabeans, canola, flaxseeds and their oil are all good sources of omega-3 essential fatty acids.
